Kirk’s longest-standing skill is grant writing. He’s ready to evaluate your needs and mission goals, and to help craft a compelling and detailed proposal. He’s also experienced at helping advise on and construct the administrative tools to support grant proposals, such as cases for support, program budgets and budget projections, metrics for reporting and evaluation, and financial and donor tracking. Other experience includes volunteer management, designing online campaigns, and major gift and planned giving outreach.

Kirk is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Master's in Nonprofit Leadership. This MNPL degree from Seattle University is an MBA-style program geared for executives working in nonprofit organizations.He's also completed the Interim Executives Academy program through the Third Sector Company and holds an MA and BA in English from the University of Idaho.He is also a seasoned public speaker and professional development trainer, routinely giving presentations for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global at their annual international conference, AFP Advancement Northwest (WA Chapter), Washington State Nonprofit Association, and the Fundraising Academy at the City University of Seattle.
